SmartKids Playway, Phase 10, Mohali is looking for a passionate and compassionate Special Educator to work with children on the autism spectrum.
Location: Phase 10, Mohali
Role: Special Educator (Autism)
Employment: Full-time | On-site
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct individual and small-group sessions for children with autism.
- Develop and track IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) with clear goals.
- Work on communication, social, behavioural, motor and early academic skills.
- Use suitable approaches such as ABA, TEACCH, play-based and sensory-based methods.
- Maintain progress records and regularly update parents.
- Coordinate with speech, occupational and behavioural therapists.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualification in Special Education, Psychology, Child Development, Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- B.Ed. Special Education / RCI registration will be preferred but is not mandatory.
- Prior experience working with children with autism is preferred.
- Candidates with a research/academic background in autism, child development or behavioural science who want to move into hands-on teaching are also welcome.
- Strong patience, empathy, consistency and warmth when working with children.
- Good communication and ability to work collaboratively with parents and therapists.
Compensation: Flexible and can be discussed based on experience and suitability.
