Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in Solid Waste Management and Waste Processing projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engineering design activities including preparation of process and piping drawings, equipment documentation, fabrication drawings, and technical coordination with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings for plant layouts and equipment installation.
- Prepare equipment datasheets and technical documentation.
- Review and validate vendor drawings, technical submissions, and engineering documents.
- Generate, check, and maintain engineering drawings as per project specifications.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Develop detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
- Create piping layouts, routing plans, and isometric drawings.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, production, and site teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Support project execution through technical clarifications and design modifications when required.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and drafting practices.
- Experience in Solid Waste Management, Waste Processing, Environmental Engineering, or related industries.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Ability to review technical documents, vendor drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Good understanding of fabrication processes, piping systems, and plant engineering.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
