To operate, maintain, and manage 3D printing facilities by ensuring high-quality printing, preventive maintenance of equipment, efficient utilization of materials, and timely delivery of prototypes for academic, research, and industry projects.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in slicing software
- Basic CAD software knowledge (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, or similar).
- Understanding of STL, OBJ, STEP, and related file formats.
- Printer calibration and troubleshooting.
- Preventive maintenance of 3D printers.
- Knowledge of different printing materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, Nylon, and resins.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate FDM, SLA, SLS, or other 3D printers as available.
- Review CAD models for printability.
- Repair STL/OBJ files where necessary.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of filaments, resins, powders, and accessories.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the 3D printing laboratory.
- Display operating instructions and safety guidelines.
- Assist students and faculty in preparing models for printing.
- Guide users on design modifications for improved print quality.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in operating and maintaining 3D printers.
- Experience with academic laboratories or industrial prototyping is preferred.
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
