Selection Criteria :Candidate should have experience in industrial instrumentation , PLC Programming, Embedded Programming,Hardware Installation,Signal Identification,PLC Panel Designing,Panel Wiring,Relay Logic ,Realy Cabling,Sensors,BOM,Energy Meters Wiring,CT Coils Cabling
Role & Responsibility
Purpose
To design, install, commission, maintain, and support field instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, PLC interfaces, and IoT solutions deployed at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Survey & Requirement Analysis
- Conduct customer site surveys.
- Understand machine control architecture and process flow.
- Identify suitable sensor mounting locations.
- Prepare site assessment reports.
- Estimate installation requirements and risks.
2. Instrument & Sensor Selection
- Select appropriate sensors based on application requirements:
- Vibration Sensors
- Temperature Sensors
- Pressure Sensors
- Flow Sensors
- Current Transformers (CT)
- Energy Meters
- RFID Devices
- Proximity Sensors
- Encoders
- Prepare technical specifications and BOM.
3. System Installation & Commissioning
- Supervise installation activities.
- Ensure proper sensor mounting and wiring.
- Verify panel wiring and termination.
- Perform loop checks and signal validation.
- Commission field devices and IoT gateways.
- Conduct FAT and SAT activities.
4. PLC & Machine Integration
- Interface sensors with PLC systems.
- Configure communication protocols:
- Modbus RTU/TCP
- Profinet
- Ethernet/IP
- OPC UA
- MQTT
- Verify data transfer from machines to central servers.
5. IoT Device Configuration
- Configure edge devices and gateways.
- Validate data acquisition.
- Configure cloud connectivity.
- Test remote monitoring functionality.
- Ensure data reliability and uptime.
6. Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose field-level issues.
- Resolve sensor communication failures.
- Analyze machine signal abnormalities.
- Support customers during breakdowns.
- Provide remote and on-site technical assistance.
7. Preventive Maintenance
- Develop maintenance schedules.
- Perform periodic calibration and validation.
- Maintain sensor health records.
- Ensure long-term reliability of deployed systems.
8. Documentation
- Prepare:
- Site Survey Reports
- Installation Reports
- Commissioning Reports
- Wiring Diagrams
- Calibration Records
- User Manuals
- Service Reports
9. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Project Managers
- Software Team
- PLC Engineers
- Customer Maintenance Team
- Vendors
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
10. Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate new sensors and technologies.
- Support development of new Industry 4.0 solutions.
- Provide feedback to product development teams.
- Participate in proof-of-concept activities.
