Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Engineer – PPC responsible for production planning, scheduling, material coordination, inventory control, and ensuring timely production of agricultural implements as per customer requirements and delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Tool Room, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor production progress against planned targets and take corrective actions for delays.
- Prepare and maintain Production Planning & Control (PPC) reports, MIS, and production schedules.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, components, bought-out parts, and sub-assemblies as per production requirements.
- Monitor WIP, finished goods, inventory levels, and material shortages.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of materials.
- Analyze machine capacity, manpower availability, production capacity, and bottlenecks.
- Follow up on BOM, routing, production orders, and material requirements.
- Track plan vs. actual production, rejection, downtime, and productivity.
- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate with concerned departments for timely resolution.
- Support capacity planning and production scheduling for agricultural implements and related components.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels while avoiding excess stock and production interruptions.
- Ensure adherence to delivery commitments and production priorities.
- Prepare reports and present production status, shortages, pending orders, and dispatch priorities to management.
- Drive continuous improvement in production planning, lead time, inventory control, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of PPC and production planning processes.
- Experience in manufacturing of agricultural implements, farm equipment, sheet metal/fabrication, or automotive components preferred.
- Good knowledge of BOM, MRP, capacity planning, inventory control, and production scheduling.
- Strong coordination skills with cross-functional departments.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple production priorities and meet delivery timelines.
Education & Experience
- Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 4–7 years in PPC / Production Planning in a manufacturing industry.
- Candidates with experience in agricultural implements / farm machinery manufacturing will be preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
