Core Roles & Responsibilities:
- Site Management & Supervision: Monitoring daily construction operations to ensure work adheres to technical plans and specifications.
- Design & Interpretation: Reviewing and implementing structural blueprints and using software (e.g., AutoCAD) to guide contractors.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforcing health and safety protocols (OSHA/local regulations) and ensuring all construction complies with building codes.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Inspecting materials and completed work to meet quality standards.
- Project Scheduling & Budgeting: Estimating costs (materials, labor) and monitoring timelines to prevent project delays.
- Technical Problem Solving: Addressing unforeseen technical challenges on-site and offering solutions.
- Coordination & Communication: Liaising between clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.
