We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Engineer with a strong focus on Injection Molding (IM) processes to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing production lines, improving efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring the highest quality standards for our injection molded products. This role requires a hands-on approach to process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Develop, implement, and optimize injection molding processes to achieve production targets, improve yield, and reduce cycle times.
- Monitor and analyze production data, including OEE, scrap rates, and downtime, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead root cause analysis for production issues, machine breakdowns, and quality defects related to injection molding, implementing robust preventative measures.
- Design, develop, and validate new tooling, molds, and production equipment, ensuring seamless integration into existing lines.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as SMED, 5S, and Kaizen events.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure smooth product launches, adherence to quality standards, and efficient equipment operation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and control plans.
- Provide technical support and training to production operators and technicians on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies within the production area.
- Manage and execute capital expenditure projects related to process improvements and new equipment acquisition.
- Conduct material trials and evaluate new resins or additives to enhance product performance and reduce costs.
