Job Summary:- Accountant
The Dealership Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate accounting records, monitoring revenue streams, and supporting financial decision-making in a four-wheeler service center. The role ensures compliance with company policies, taxation laws, and OEM reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain daily accounting entries (Sales, Purchase, Expenses, Journal entries)
- Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Manage general ledger and trial balance
- Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness
2. Service Revenue Accounting
- Record and reconcile:
- Labour revenue
- Spare parts sales
- Warranty claims
- Insurance jobs
- Monitor job card billing vs actual collection
- Identify revenue leakages and discrepancies
3. Cash & Bank Management
- Daily cash reconciliation (cash, UPI, card payments)
- Bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
4. Inventory & Spare Parts Accounting
- Track spare parts inventory valuation
- Coordinate with parts department for stock audits
- Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory
- Ensure correct costing (FIFO / weighted average)
5. MIS & Reporting (Dealer Principal Level)
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports:
- Revenue per RO (Repair Order)
- Labour vs parts ratio
- Technician productivity
- Gross profit margins
- Present reports to Dealer Principal / General Manager
6. Taxation & Compliance
- GST compliance:
- Input/output reconciliation
- Filing returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
- TDS deductions and filings
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations
7. OEM & Internal Reporting
- Submit financial data to OEM portals (if applicable)
- Ensure adherence to OEM audit standards
- Support internal and external audits
8. Cost Control & Profitability
- Monitor departmental expenses
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support budgeting and forecasting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
