Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for our manufacturing industry operations. The candidate will be responsible for electrical system design, maintenance, troubleshooting, automation support, project execution, and ensuring smooth operation of plant machinery and utilities. The role also involves leading electrical maintenance activities, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems, machinery, and plant equipment.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of production lines and manufacturing utilities.
- Handle installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Manage HT/LT panels, transformers, motors, VFDs, MCCs, DG sets, and control systems.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Support automation and PLC-based systems in manufacturing operations.
- Plan and execute electrical improvement and energy-saving projects.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Maintain electrical documentation, maintenance logs, and reports.
- Supervise electricians and maintenance technicians.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Electrical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing industry electrical maintenance/projects.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Experience in machine manufacturing, automotive, heavy engineering, or industrial plants preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC, VFD, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
- Understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, and control circuits.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Knowledge of energy management and power distribution systems.
- Familiarity with ISO safety and maintenance standards.
- SAP/ERP maintenance module knowledge preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
