Job Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Assistant to provide Level 1 IT support across our Head Office and manufacturing plants. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting, networking, IT asset management, and end-user support. The role also requires coordination with internal departments to ensure smooth IT operations and timely issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide Level 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and office applications.
- Handle printer installation, maintenance coordination, and service call tracking.
- Monitor internet connectivity across all plant locations and report uptime/downtime to the IT manager.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and health checks of CCTV systems.
- Ensure IT systems in director cabins, conference rooms, and meeting areas are operational before meetings.
2. IT Asset Management
- Conduct monthly IT asset audits across all plant locations.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, inventory, and equipment movement.
- Update asset registers and daily work reports using Google Sheets and MS Excel.
- Coordinate with the MIS team for IT asset allocation and handover during employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Ensure proper documentation of issued and returned IT assets.
3. MIS & IT Operations Support
- Assist the MIS team in routine IT operational activities.
- Coordinate with vendors for IT hardware repairs, maintenance, and service follow-ups.
- Track Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and software renewals.
- Assist in software installations, system updates, antivirus management, and user account support.
- Coordinate with the Company Secretary (CS) and web developers regarding website-related updates and compliance uploads.
- Execute additional tasks assigned by the IT Manager and provide regular progress updates.
4. Executive IT Support
- Provide dedicated technical support to Directors and senior management for their IT requirements.
- Ensure uninterrupted functioning of laptops, desktops, projectors, internet connectivity, video conferencing, and presentation systems.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling executive IT requests.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
