Your Role
As a Laboratory Technician, you'll be responsible for processing patient samples, operating laboratory analyzers, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring every report generated meets the highest level of accuracy. You'll work alongside experienced pathologists and laboratory professionals in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized testing in Biochemistry, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology.
- Receive, verify, and process patient samples according to laboratory protocols.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain automated laboratory instruments.
- Carry out daily instrument calibration and quality control procedures.
- Identify abnormal findings and escalate them as per laboratory guidelines.
- Ensure proper documentation of test results and laboratory records.
- Maintain reagent inventory and report shortages proactively.
- Follow biosafety, infection control, and laboratory compliance requirements.
- Support preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely report generation and sample workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned laboratory section.
Candidate Profile
We're looking for someone who has:
- DMLT, BMLT, B.Sc. MLT, or an equivalent qualification.
- 2–5 years of laboratory experience in a diagnostic centre or hospital.
- Practical exposure to Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, and Hematology testing.
- Experience working with automated analyzers and laboratory information systems.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and laboratory best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate diagnostic results.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and adapt to a dynamic laboratory environment.
