Job Summary
The Speech & Drama Teacher is responsible for developing students' communication, public speaking, acting, and performance skills through engaging speech and drama activities. The teacher will foster creativity, confidence, teamwork, and self-expression while preparing students for stage performances, competitions, and school events.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Speech & Drama lessons for students in accordance with the school's curriculum and objectives.
- Teach public speaking, voice modulation, pronunciation, articulation, storytelling, role play, improvisation, and acting techniques.
- Develop students' confidence, creativity, communication, and presentation skills.
- Organize and direct drama productions, stage performances, assemblies, and cultural events.
- Prepare students for speech, debate, elocution, theatre, and drama competitions.
- Select, adapt, and rehearse scripts appropriate for different age groups.
- Encourage teamwork, collaboration, discipline, and stage etiquette.
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback on performance and communication skills.
- Maintain records of student participation, attendance, and performance.
- Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to support co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment during rehearsals and performances.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, school functions, and professional development programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts, Theatre, Drama, English, Education, or a related field.
- Degree/Diploma or certification in Speech & Drama, Theatre Arts, or Performing Arts is preferred.
- B.Ed. is preferred if required by school policy.
- Previous teaching or theatre experience is an advantage.

- Knowledge of acting, theatre, public speaking, and stagecraft.
- Ability to inspire confidence and creativity in students.
- Strong classroom and rehearsal management skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Creativity in planning performances and interactive learning activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
- Basic computer skills for lesson planning and communication.
Working Hours
As per school timings and academic requirements.

Pay: ₹10,255.14 - ₹39,227.90 per month
