Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Drafter with 2–3 years of experience in SolidWorks product modelling. The candidate will be responsible for creating 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and product assemblies while working closely with the engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate 3D part and assembly models using SolidWorks.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and BOMs.
- Design sheet metal, plastic, CNC-machined, and fabricated components.
- Develop enclosure designs for electronic and home automation products.
- Revise and update engineering drawings based on design changes.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electronics, and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Support prototype development and product testing.
- Maintain engineering documentation and drawing revisions.
Required Skills
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of 3D modelling, assemblies, sheet metal, and drafting.
- Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and DFM/DFA principles.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection moulding, laser cutting, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in product design and development is preferred.
- Experience in home automation, consumer electronics, or electrical enclosure design will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
