Develop and maintain a vibrant library environment, with a diverse collection of books, resources and other materials, representing the diversity of the student body and supporting the range of the educational programmes. • As appropriate to the needs of the English and EAL Departments, teach and/or support English lessons based in the Library, and small groups of EAL students in their development of English. • Ensure the development of research and independent study skills through taught courses and individual and group support, during Curriculuar and Super Curriculuar sessions. • Promote and support literacy amongst the school community, leading reading and writing workshops and classes during both Curricular and Super Curricular sessions. • In liaison with specialist teachers, encourage the use of the Library across all subject areas. • Lead student library induction sessions, library skills sessions and support class visits to the Library. • Support the Language Department by providing resources to support literacy in Japanese and Chinese. • Support Prep sessions that are conducted in the library. • Contribute to the professional development of the Library team.
