Job Description – IBDP Biology Educator
Position: IBDP Biology Educator
Location: One World International School (OWIS), Sarjapur, Bengaluru
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, inquiry-based Biology lessons for IBDP (SL & HL) in alignment with IB standards.
- Prepare students for Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), practical investigations, and IB external examinations.
- Foster scientific inquiry, critical thinking, research, and laboratory skills through experiential learning.
- Design and implement formative and summative assessments while monitoring student progress.
- Maintain accurate academic records and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with the Science Department and contribute to curriculum planning, school events, and co-curricular activities.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned based on the academic and operational requirements of the school.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Biology/Life Sciences or a related discipline; B.Ed. preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in the IBDP curriculum.
- IB workshop certification and experience teaching both SL & HL Biology will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of IB philosophy, assessment practices, laboratory management, and inquiry-based learning.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
