Description
We are seeking an experienced and organized Fleet Manager to oversee and manage the company fleet operations. The candidate will be responsible for vehicle maintenance, driver management, transportation planning, fuel monitoring, compliance, and ensuring efficient fleet utilization to support smooth business operations.
Responsibilities
Fleet Operations Management
Manage day-to-day operations of company vehicles and transport activities
Ensure maximum utilization and availability of fleet vehicles
Plan vehicle allocation according to operational requirements
Monitor vehicle movement through GPS and tracking systems
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
Schedule preventive maintenance and timely servicing of vehicles
Ensure all vehicles are safe and roadworthy
Coordinate breakdown assistance and emergency repairs
Maintain records of repairs, maintenance, and service history
Driver Management
Supervise drivers and transport staff
Monitor driver attendance, behaviour, and performance
Ensure drivers follow company safety policies and traffic regulations
Conduct driver training and safety awareness programs
Fuel & Cost Control
Monitor fuel consumption and mileage efficiency
Control transportation and maintenance expenses
Prepare cost analysis and fleet performance reports
Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure timely renewal of vehicle insurance, permits, PUC, fitness certificates, and licenses
Maintain transport and statutory compliance records
Ensure compliance with transport laws and safety regulations
Reporting & Coordination
Prepare daily and monthly fleet reports
Coordinate with production, dispatch, and logistics teams
Maintain vendor and service provider relationships
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
5 to 10 years of experience in fleet or transport management
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport operations
Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and fleet software
Good understanding of transport compliance and documentation

Preferred Industry Experience: Logistics and transportation companies.
