Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing channel partners and distributors, achieving revenue targets, expanding market presence, and leading the sales team within the assigned territory. The role involves developing business strategies, building strong customer relationships, monitoring market trends, and ensuring effective execution of sales plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute area sales plans aligned with business objectives.
- Appoint, manage, and support distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and customer requirements.
- Lead, coach, and motivate Sales Executives and Territory Sales Officers.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales performance and ensure effective field execution.
- Review sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline management regularly.
- Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy receivables.
- Implement promotional campaigns and trade marketing activities.
- Resolve customer complaints and provide effective after-sales support.
- Maintain accurate sales records and prepare periodic MIS reports.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless business operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical business practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- MBA in Sales & Marketing is preferred.
Experience
- 2–4 years of sales experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or area sales management role.
- Experience in beauty and cosmetic industry is preferred.
