Responsibilities
- Develop 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical documentation.
- Review customer specifications and convert requirements into practical engineering designs.
- Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and company specifications.
- Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and project teams during product development.
- Support prototype development, testing, and design validation.
- Implement design improvements based on manufacturing feedback and customer requirements.
- Resolve technical issues related to product design and manufacturing.
- Maintain document revision control and engineering records.
- Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Provide technical support to sales, production, and service teams when required.
Accountabilities
The Design Engineer is accountable for:
- Delivering accurate and error-free engineering drawings and documentation.
- Completing design activities within approved project schedules.
- Ensuring compliance with customer specifications and engineering standards.
- Maintaining drawing revision control and document integrity.
- Minimizing design-related manufacturing errors and rework.
- Supporting successful product launches and engineering change implementation.
- Achieving design quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost targets.
- Providing timely engineering support to internal departments.
- Protecting confidential engineering information and intellectual property.
- Continuously improving design processes and adopting best engineering practices.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
