Qualification

Diploma or Certificate in CCRT (Certificate Course in Rehabilitation Therapy) or BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)

Experience working with children with special needs will be preferred.
Job Purpose
To support physiotherapists in providing therapeutic services to children with developmental delays and disabilities. The Assistant Therapist will assist in therapy sessions, support rehabilitation activities, and help in improving the functional abilities and independence of children with special needs.
Key Responsibilities

Assist physiotherapists in conducting therapy sessions for children with special needs.

Support implementation of individualized therapy plans designed by the physiotherapist.

Help children perform therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities.

Prepare therapy materials and maintain therapy equipment.

Monitor children during therapy sessions and ensure safety at all times.

Maintain basic therapy records, attendance, and progress notes as instructed.

Support group therapy sessions, early intervention activities, and rehabilitation programs.

Guide parents/caregivers on simple home-based exercises as advised by the physiotherapist.

Assist in screening, assessments, and therapy camps when required.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy unit.
Required Competencies

Basic knowledge of child development and disability.

Understanding of physiotherapy exercises and rehabilitation techniques.

Ability to work with children with developmental delays, cerebral palsy, autism, and other disabilities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children and parents.

Patience, empathy, and a child-friendly approach.

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team (therapists, special educators, social workers).
