- Create CAD drawings, 3D models, Assemblies as per design standards, customer requirements and ensure release in PLM/ERP System
- Mechanical / Electrical validation of various components
- Investigation in alternative material or different manufacturing technologies
- Redesign of noncritical parts with approval
- Cost analysis and manufacturing optimization proposals
- Preparing of technical document for internal or external use
- Normal administration work if required
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, with 5+years of experience
- 3+ years experience in design and development of electro-mechanical products with sound knowledge of design of moulded, sheet metal, machined, cast component design
- Should have good expertise in product design tools like Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FEA as required for product design and development
- Knowledge of design calculations and relevant product standards such as IEC, etc.
- Analytical skill must include understanding component design/ selection, stresses, fatigue life, component fits and establishing efficient, ergonomic methods of assembly
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining moulding, stamping, casting, welding and soldering
- MS office expertise in excel, others such as word, power point presentation
- Strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute and follow leadership directives at appropriate
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). German language skills will be an added advantage.
