Position description: As a Senior Manager in Taxation and Finalization, lead strategic financial planning, oversee comprehensive tax compliance, and drive the finalization process to ensure regulatory adherence and financial integrity at the highest level of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with organizational goals to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
- Supervise and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and international tax regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audits, addressing any tax-related inquiries and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Identify and assess potential tax risks, implementing controls and mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization against financial and regulatory exposures.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment, and providing guidance on tax-related matters.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the organization, and implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
- Provide senior management with strategic tax advice on business decisions, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial initiatives to optimize tax outcomes.
- Collaborate with financial planning teams to integrate tax considerations into overall financial planning, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with external tax authorities, consultants, and advisors, fostering positive interactions and staying informed about industry best practices.
