1. Supervise loading operations
- Oversee the loading of goods onto trucks, containers, or other transport
- Ensure correct handling to prevent damage
- Monitor productivity and workflow on the loading dock
2. Ensure accuracy of shipments
- Verify items against invoices, packing lists, or dispatch orders
- Ensure the right quantity and product is loaded
- Prevent mix-ups or missing items
3. Coordinate with other departments
- Work with inventory, dispatch, and transport teams
- Communicate delays or issues to supervisors or managers
- Ensure vehicles are loaded on time for delivery schedules
4. Equipment oversight
- Ensure proper use of equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors
- Report maintenance needs or faults
5. Documentation & reporting
- Maintain loading logs and daily reports
- Record damaged or missing goods
- Track loading times and efficiency
6. Space and load optimization
- Plan how goods are arranged in trucks to maximize space
- Ensure weight distribution is balanced and compliant with regulations
