The Field Quality - Electrical professional is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality for all electrical components, systems, and installations in field operations. This role involves conducting thorough inspections, audits, and tests on electrical equipment and installations to identify and resolve defects, non-conformities, and potential issues. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, quality assurance principles, and a keen eye for detail to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct comprehensive on-site quality inspections and audits of electrical systems, components, and installations according to established specifications, blueprints, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Identify, document, and report non-conformities, deviations, and potential quality issues found during field inspections using detailed reports and photographic evidence.
- Perform root cause analysis for electrical failures or quality defects in the field and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Verify the proper installation, calibration, and functionality of electrical equipment, wiring, control panels, and safety devices.
- Review and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and test procedures to ensure compliance and proper execution.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel, contractors, and customers regarding electrical quality standards and best practices.
- Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure electrical systems meet performance and quality requirements before handover.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, inspection checklists, and test reports.
- Monitor and analyze field quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for continuous improvement in electrical design and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and company policies during field activities.
