Essential Qualifications
- Ph.D. Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University.
- First Class or equivalent at Bachelor's and Master's level in the relevant discipline.
- Qualifications shall be as prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and adopted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) from time to time.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of teaching, research, industry and/or academic administration experience.
- Candidate should possess the qualifications and experience required for the post of Professor as per AICTE norms.
- Experience in leading an AICTE-approved institution or a department offering Management and/or Computer Applications programmes is desirable.
Desirable Profile
The candidate should have:
- Proven academic leadership and administrative capabilities.
- Experience in obtaining and maintaining AICTE approval and GGSIPU affiliation compliance.
- Experience in NAAC accreditation, NIRF, IQAC, Academic Audit, and implementation of NEP 2020.
- Ability to promote research, innovation, entrepreneurship, consultancy, industry collaboration, internships, and placements.
- Sound knowledge of AICTE Regulations, GGSIPU Ordinances, UGC Regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent communication, financial management, and human resource management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall academic, administrative, and strategic leadership to the Institute.
- Ensure compliance with AICTE, GGSIPU, UGC, and other statutory/regulatory requirements.
- Enhance academic quality, student outcomes, research, innovation, and institutional rankings.
- Strengthen industry partnerships, internships, training, and placement activities.
- Lead accreditation, quality assurance, faculty development, admissions, and institutional growth.
- Promote effective governance, transparency, and financial discipline.
Salary
Salary and other allowances shall be as per AICTE/GGSIPU norms and the rules of the Institution. Higher emoluments may be considered for exceptionally meritorious candidates.
