The Assistant Service Manager supports the Service Manager in handling daily workshop operations, customer satisfaction, team supervision, and service performance in an automobile dealership or service center.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations of the automobile service workshop.
- Ensure smooth vehicle reception, repair, and delivery processes.
- Support the Service Manager in achieving service revenue and customer satisfaction targets.
- Supervise service advisors, technicians, and workshop staff.
- Monitor vehicle repair quality and ensure jobs are completed on time.
- Handle customer complaints and provide effective resolutions.
- Coordinate with spare parts department for timely availability of parts.
- Ensure proper job card preparation and service documentation.
- Follow up with customers regarding service updates and feedback.
- Maintain workshop discipline, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Monitor technician productivity and workshop efficiency.
- Assist in implementing manufacturer service policies and procedures.
- Support warranty claim processing and documentation.
- Conduct team briefings and motivate staff for better performance.
- Ensure adherence to company standards, SOPs, and customer handling guidelines.
- Prepare daily and monthly service performance reports.
- Assist in training and developing workshop employees.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
- Coordinate with insurance and accident repair teams when required.
- Support in achieving CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) and retention targets.
