About the Role
We build self-service kiosk systems end to end — the kiosk hardware, the client applications that run on it, the REST APIs behind them, and the web portal that manages the whole fleet. A single transaction can touch a kiosk client, a backend API, a database, a payment gateway, and a physical peripheral. Testing it well means understanding all of those layers.
We're looking for a Software Tester who understands not just what the software should do, but how it is built — so you can test across web applications, APIs, and system integrations, and catch the issues that only surface under real-world conditions: flaky networks, half-finished transactions, unavailable hardware, unexpected third-party responses.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute test cases for web applications and REST APIs — functional flows, integrations, boundary conditions, and negative paths.
- Own regression testing for every release, and grow a regression suite that keeps pace with the product.
- Run non-functional testing: performance and load, basic security checks, and reliability under network loss, timeout, and system stress.
- Validate API request and response behaviour in Postman — payload correctness, status codes, error handling, and idempotency.
- Write SQL queries to verify data integrity and reconcile backend records against application behaviour.
- Log, track, and clearly document defects with reproducible steps and evidence; work with developers to verify fixes.
- Maintain test plans, test cases, and release-level test summary reports.
- Work inside an Agile/Scrum team — sprint planning, refinement, and requirement discussions with developers and business analysts.
- Raise gaps and ambiguities in requirements before they reach code, and propose improvements to our testing process and automation coverage.
What You'll Bring
- 3–8 years in software testing, with solid exposure to both functional and non-functional testing.
- Hands-on experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
- Working SQL skills for backend and data validation.
- A clear mental model of how clients, APIs, and databases interact in a client–server architecture.
- Comfort working in Windows environments, including logs, services, and basic configuration.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
- Strong analytical instincts — able to isolate whether a defect is UI, API, database, integration, or environment related.
- Clear written and verbal communication, and documentation you'd be happy to hand to someone else.
Nice to Have
- Automation exposure — Selenium, Playwright, or API automation with Postman/Newman.
- Performance and load testing with JMeter, k6, or similar.
- Enough of any programming language, plus HTML, to read logs and code and speak precisely with developers.

- Bachelor's degree preferred.
