About the Role
We are hiring skilled Arc Welders with hands-on experience in MIG, TIG, or SMAW welding for structural fabrication, piping, and heavy engineering projects. Candidates must be able to read drawings, follow WPS, and deliver quality welds as per client standards.
- Perform arc welding using MIG, TIG, or SMAW on MS, SS, and alloy materials
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, symbols, and welding procedure specifications
- Set up welding equipment, select proper electrodes/filler wires, and adjust parameters
- Ensure weld quality as per NDT/RT standards with minimal repair rate
- Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain 5S at the workstation
- Carry out fit-up, tack welding, grinding, and finishing as required
- Coordinate with QC/Fabrication supervisors for job clearance
- Maintain daily production logs and consumption records
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 1G to 6G positions; 6G preferred for piping jobs
- Knowledge of welding defects, causes, and remedies
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Valid welder qualification certificate preferred
- Physically fit and willing to work in shifts
