Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, qualified, and enthusiastic French Teacher to teach students across Primary, Middle, and Secondary grades. The candidate will be responsible for developing students’ proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking French while creating an engaging and interactive learning environment aligned with CBSE curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver French lessons for students across all grades as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation, comprehension, reading, and writing skills in French.
- Create engaging lesson plans using interactive and activity-based teaching methodologies.
- Conduct oral, written, and listening assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Encourage students to participate in French conversations, role plays, cultural activities, and language events.
- Use smart boards, multimedia tools, games, songs, and digital resources to enhance language learning.
- Maintain student records, attendance, assessments, and progress reports.
- Provide feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and improvement areas.
- Support slow learners and provide enrichment activities for advanced learners.
- Prepare worksheets, question papers, projects, and study materials.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, events, competitions, and professional development programs.
- Ensure classroom discipline and maintain a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in French / Foreign Languages.
- B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred.
- DELF B1/B2 certification preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE schools preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written French communication skills.
Skills Required
- Strong command of French language and grammar.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to make language learning interactive and student-friendly.
- Proficiency in MS Office, smart boards, and online teaching platforms.
- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic approach toward teaching.
- Ability to handle students across different age groups and learning abilities.
