Machine Operation: Setting up, starting, and monitoring injection molding machines. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the machine runs at the correct temperature and pressure.
Quality Assurance: Visually inspecting "shots" (the molded parts) for defects like flash (excess plastic), sink marks, or short shots.
Part Finishing: Using hand tools like trimmers or grinders to remove excess material and smooth out edges.
Material Management: Loading plastic resin or colorants into hoppers and ensuring the material is dry and free of contaminants.3
Documentation: Keeping accurate logs of production counts, scrap rates, and any machine downtime.
