Job Summary
The Design Engineer – PEB will be responsible for structural design, analysis, and detailing of Pre-Engineered Building systems. The role includes preparing structural calculations, optimizing steel structures, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring designs comply with applicable codes and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare structural design and analysis of PEB structures including primary members, secondary members, and connections.
· Perform load calculations (dead load, live load, wind load, seismic load, crane load, etc.) as per applicable design codes.
· Develop design calculations and reports for approval from clients or consultants.
· Prepare GA drawings, design drawings, and connection details in coordination with detailing teams.
· Optimize design to achieve cost-effective and safe structural solutions.
· Coordinate with sales, estimation, production, and site teams for technical clarifications.
· Ensure designs comply with IS codes, international standards, and project specifications.
· Review and approve shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
· Provide technical support during project execution and erection stages.
· Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Required Skills
· Strong knowledge of PEB structural systems and steel structures.
· Familiarity with design codes (IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893, etc.).
· Experience in structural analysis software such as:
· STAAD Pro
· ETABS
· Tekla
· AutoCAD
· Good understanding of connection design and detailing.
· Ability to optimize designs for weight and cost efficiency.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
· B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering (Structural specialization preferred)
Experience
· 3–5 years of experience in PEB design or steel structure design.
Preferred Experience
· Experience in industrial buildings, warehouses, factories, commercial buildings, or airport structures.
· Knowledge of PEB detailing and fabrication process.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
