Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including:
Split AC
Window AC
Cassette AC
Ductable AC
VRF/VRV systems
Perform routine preventive maintenance (AMC services).
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
Handle gas charging, leak testing, and compressor replacement.
Install ducting and ventilation systems.
Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Ensure proper functioning of thermostats and control systems.
Maintain service records and submit daily
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Setup: Installing new HVAC units, air ducts, vents, and thermostats according to blueprints.
- Maintenance: Performing regular inspections, cleaning coils, changing filters, and checking refrigerant levels.
- Repair & Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues using tools like voltmeters and pressure gauges to repair or replace compressors, motors, and wiring.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to safety standards, electrical codes, and environmental regulations for handling refrigerants.
- Customer Service: Explaining technical issues to clients, providing cost estimates, and recommending system upgrades
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC technical program or apprenticeship..
- Experience: Proven work experience as an AC technician (typically 2+ years).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in cramped or hot spaces.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical circuits, and HVAC tools
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel to client sites, working in varied, sometimes extreme, temperatures.
- May require working in attics, on roofs, or in tight spaces.
- Possibility of on-call, evening, or weekend work
