Educational Qualification
Essential:
B.E /B. Tech in ECE/Computer Science/IT or related discipline
Minimum 65 % marks
Desirable:
Specialization or training in Embedded Systems, Automotive Software, or Connected Vehicle technologies
Required Experience
3~5 years in Automotive D&D (preferably IVI or Connected ECU)
Hands‑on experience in software update, OTA and connected solutions integration
Role Overview
Responsible for design, development, and integration of software update, OTA solutions, and connected/cloud-integrated IVI functions and apps.
Coordinate with backend/cloud teams & suppliers for feature integration, delivery and validation.
Key Responsibilities
Drive design, development, integration, and validation of OTA, software update, connected IVI functions (such as App Store, remote diagnostics, telemetry upload, remote IVI functions), and related web portals.
Define and align overall architecture, system design, requirement specifications and perform reviews with suppliers and business partners.
Drive UN-R156/AIS-190 compliance & maintain regulatory documentation and coordinate with internal auditors and stakeholders.
Work with cloud/backend teams on OTA servers, campaigns, data flows & API integration.
Create and manage development plans and supplier deliveries and provide support for validation.
Technical Competencies
Essential:
Understanding of Software Update/OTA concepts, vehicle E/E architecture, and connectivity.
Familiarity with UN-R156/AIS-190 regulations and ISO 24089 standard.
Understanding of in-vehicle network interfaces and protocols such as CAN, UDS, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, WiFi, TCP/IP.
Hands-on experience in automotive development process and understanding of IVI system’s features and functions.
Knowledge of IVI system architecture, hardware, and software fundamentals.
Basic understanding of Cloud/backend fundamentals: communication & authentication flows, APIs, data flows, security concepts.
Familiarity with Linux/Android OS architecture concepts, core services, and application‑level interactions.
Desirable:
Familiarity with UN-R155/AIS189 regulations and ISO 21434 standard.
Experience with Android Automotive/Linux-based IVI platforms.
