We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Junior Barista to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will learn the art of coffee making, master our menu, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will work closely with senior baristas to learn espresso extraction, milk texturing, and workflow management, ensuring every guest leaves with a great cup of coffee and a smile.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Welcome customers warmly, take accurate drink and food orders, and answer basic questions about the menu.
- Beverage Preparation: Assist in preparing a variety of hot and cold beverages, including drip coffee, teas, and specialty espresso drinks (latte, cappuccino, etc.) under the guidance of senior team members.
- Food Handling: Serve pastries, sandwiches, and other food items according to food safety and presentation standards.
- POS & Cash Handling: Operate the cash register or Point of Sale (POS) system, process cash and card payments accurately, and manage receipts.
- Cleanliness & Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace. This includes wiping down counters, washing pitchers, clearing tables, and emptying trash bins.
- Stocking & Inventory: Assist in restocking coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and pastry displays throughout the shift.
- Equipment Maintenance: Learn how to clean and maintain the espresso machine, grinders, and other brewing equipment at the end of the day.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: No prior barista experience is required; comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. Previous experience in retail, customer service, or fast food is a plus.
- Skills: * Passion for coffee and a strong desire to learn.
- Friendly, approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, move quickly, and lift items up to 20 lbs (like milk crates or coffee bags).
- Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, which may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
