Job Description:
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Bioinformatics / Computational Biology Intern to assist in the testing and
validation of automated computational pipelines. The intern will work hands-on with molecular
docking workflows, execute and test codes, and support Python-based automation efforts. This role
provides practical exposure to docking methodologies, pipeline testing, and computational biology
tools in a research-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test and validate automated computational pipelines related to molecular docking.
- Validate pipeline outputs and report inconsistencies or errors.
- Collaborate with developers and researchers to ensure pipeline robustness and accuracy.
- Maintain documentation related to testing procedures and results.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of molecular docking concepts, including various types of docking (e.g.,
rigid docking, flexible docking, protein-ligand docking, etc.).
- Ability to run and test docking codes and workflows.
- Python scripting skills for automation, testing, and analysis.
Additional Skills or Optional skills:
- Basic working knowledge of CP2K and GROMACS
Hardware Requirement:
- Candidate must have an MSI laptop capable of running computational tools and scripts.
Qualifications:
The internship is open to candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing B. Tech, M.Sc., or
MTech in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology; MTech candidates are preferred.
Duration: 6 months
