Job Title: Sales Intern Role Purpose The Sales Intern will support the sales team across the end-to-end sales cycle for cybersecurity services — from outbound prospecting and inbound enquiry handling to proposal support, CRM upkeep, and account coordination — while learning under the guidance of senior Sales Executives.
The role offers hands-on exposure to translating technical cybersecurity requirements into simple business
language, and to using AI tools to support high-quality techno-commercial proposals.
Key Responsibilities: Cold Calling & First-Level Engagement: Assist with high-volume cold calls and first-level discussions with prospects to help qualify opportunities and build pipeline, under supervision.
Strategic Outreach Support: Support the design and execution of multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, calls) targeting decision-makers in target verticals globally.
Inbound Enquiry Support: Help respond to inbound enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring no opportunity goes unattended.
Techno-Commercial Proposal Support: Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals by working closely with Pre-sales Technical Consultants. Use AI tools to help decode technical cybersecurity requirements into clear, client-friendly language and support documentation.
Pre-sales Coordination: Coordinate and sync up with Pre-sales technical consultants as directed throughout the sales cycle.
Negotiation & Closure Exposure: Observe and assist in commercial negotiations and objection handling as part of on-the-job learning.
Sales Operations & CRM: Maintain CRM hygiene (Zoho / equivalent), assist with pipeline updates and activity tracking under guidance.
Account Support: Support the assigned Account Executive with client relationship activities, upselling/cross-selling research, and renewal tracking.
Outbound Calling & Pipeline Support: Assist in generating and progressing outbound opportunities to support team targets.
Events & Brand Representation: Participate in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions as assigned to support lead generation and brand presence.
Learning & Development: Actively learn end-to-end sales operations with the goal of taking on greater ownership over the course of the internship.
Required Qualifications & Experience: No prior professional sales experience required; any prior internship or academic project exposure to B2B sales, IT, cybersecurity, SaaS, BFSI, or consulting is a plus.
Eligibility: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree; students pursuing or holding an MBA (Sales / Marketing / Business) are preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree (ongoing or completed) mandatory; MBA (ongoing or completed) preferred.
Core Competencies: Willingness to learn cold calling and negotiation basics, strong written & verbal communication, attention to detail, and eagerness to build CRM discipline and commercial acumen.
AI Proficiency: Comfort using AI tools (ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, etc.) to understand technical cybersecurity concepts in layman terms and to assist in drafting technical & commercial proposals. Preferred Skills & Attributes
Exposure: Coursework or project exposure to cybersecurity, VAPT, ISO standards, or compliance services is a plus.
Tools: Familiarity with Zoho CRM, Salesforce, or similar platforms is an advantage.
Communication: Strong presentation and written communication skills. Attitude: Self-driven, curious, target-oriented, and comfortable in a high-activity sales environment.
Internship Details
Duration: Typically 3–6 months, stipend-based (exact duration and stipend as per offer letter). Conversion: Strong performers may be considered for a full-time Sales Executive role at the end of the internship, subject to business need and performance.
