ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a mid-level React front-end developer competent in building fast, polished, user-facing web experiences. This role is for a B2C ecommerce website. You'll work with a team to turn product ideas and UX designs into clean, responsive interfaces, own features from prototype to production, and collaborate closely with product, design, and QA. This is a hands-on role for someone who cares about code quality, performance, and the details that make a product feel great to use.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain high-performance, responsive web UIs in React, translating UX designs and product requirements into
- clean, well-documented, cross-device experiences.
- Take features from prototype/MVP to production, rapidly evolving solutions into cohesive, polished applications.
- Contribute to component design and front-end conventions, building reusable, maintainable patterns and shared
- components.
- Deliver smooth, intuitive interfaces that stay fast under load, including rendering and interacting with large or complex
- datasets.
- Monitor and optimize front-end performance, including page load speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall site health.
- Write clean, version-controlled code using Git within a structured branching and code-review workflow.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and partner with QA to ensure work is
- properly tested before release.
- Share knowledge through code review and everyday collaboration, and continue growing your own craft.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 5–7 years building commercial web applications in JavaScript/TypeScript, including hands-on experience developing web
- UIs in React.
- Strong working knowledge of React and the modern front-end ecosystem.
- Solid core front-end fundamentals: semantic HTML, CSS, responsive design, and browser performance.
- Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs for data access and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of front-end tools like Vite, ESLint, etc.
- Exposure to design systems or shared component libraries.
- Accessibility (a11y) and internationalization/localization experience.
- Some full-stack breadth beyond the front end (Node.js, Python, or API design).
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools, with good judgment about validating their output.
- Familiarity with performance-focused techniques for building smooth, responsive interfaces and rendering sizable datasets.
- Proficiency with Git and comfort working in a code-review-driven workflow.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira or comparable tools.
- A user-centric mindset and an eye for design detail; product sense, or a strong interest in developing it.
- Clear, thoughtful communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage your own priorities, estimates, and deliverables with a growing degree of ownership.
- A demonstrated ability to pick up new languages, libraries, and tools quickly.
- Cloud/CI exposure (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
