We are seeking a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor with 2–5 years of experience in the wire and cable manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for supervising daily production activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations in wire and cable manufacturing.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
- Monitor extrusion, bunching, stranding, insulating, armouring, laying, and sheathing processes.
- Allocate manpower, machines, and materials efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and customer specifications.
- Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Stores departments to ensure smooth production.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and daily output reports.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, 5S, and good manufacturing practices.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Train and guide operators and production staff on standard operating procedures.
- Monitor raw material consumption and reduce process waste.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Production, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in wire and cable manufacturing.
- Knowledge of wire and cable production processes and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to manage production teams and meet delivery schedules.
- Good understanding of quality systems, safety standards, and lean manufacturing concepts.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and production reporting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to work in shifts and handle production under tight deadlines.
