Job Summary
Shiva Public Higher Secondary School is seeking a talented, energetic, and passionate Music/Dance Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should be capable of nurturing students' artistic talents, conducting engaging music and dance classes, and preparing students for cultural events, competitions, and school functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Music and/or Dance classes for students of various age groups.
- Teach fundamental and advanced techniques in music, vocal training, instrumental music, or dance forms.
- Prepare students for annual functions, cultural programs, competitions, and special events.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and artistic expression among students.
- Organize rehearsals and performances.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with school staff for co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate / Diploma in Music, Dance, Performing Arts, or related field.
- Formal training/certification in Music or Dance preferred.
- Prior teaching experience in a school setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Indian classical, folk, contemporary, or western music/dance forms.
- Experience in choreography and event management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
