Job Summary
An Admission Counselor is responsible for recruiting prospective students, guiding them through the admissions process, and supporting enrollment goals. They serve as a key point of contact between the institution and applicants, providing information about programs, requirements, and campus life.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel prospective students and families on academic programs, admission requirements, and application procedures
Conduct outreach activities such as school visits, college fairs, and information sessions
Review applications and evaluate candidates based on admission criteria
Maintain accurate records of applicant interactions and admissions data
Follow up with applicants to encourage completion of applications and enrollment
Collaborate with marketing and academic departments to promote programs
Assist in organizing campus tours, open houses, and recruitment events
Provide support throughout the enrollment process, including financial aid guidance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Marketing, or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationships with diverse student populations
Organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in computer applications and CRM/admissions software
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in admissions, counseling, or student services
Knowledge of higher education systems and admission processes
Experience with recruitment or sales strategies
