Job Description – Resident Medical Officer (RMO)
Position: Resident Medical Officer (RMO)
Department: Medical Services / ICU
Qualification: BAMS / BHMS
Experience: 2–3 years of ICU experience in a hospital
Key Responsibilities
- Provide round-the-clock medical care to admitted patients under the guidance of consultants.
- Assess, examine, and monitor ICU and ward patients.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate management.
- Assist consultants during patient rounds and implement treatment plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical progress.
- Perform basic medical procedures as per hospital protocols and competency.
- Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and other departments for patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and case documentation.
- Ensure proper handover during shift changes.
- Communicate patient status to consultants and escalate critical conditions immediately.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Participate in code blue, emergency response, and hospital quality initiatives.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding treatment under consultant supervision.
- Comply with NABH standards, hospital policies, and ethical medical practices.
Required Skills
- Sound clinical knowledge and ICU patient management.
- Basic emergency and critical care management skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including nights.
- Team-oriented approach with strong clinical decision-making.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
