Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Special Educator to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to middle and secondary classes, ensuring strong conceptual clarity and engaging classroom delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify the learning and adaptive functioning issues the students face during school hours.
- Conduct a formal or informal assessment to understand the academic and behavioral functioning of the students during school hours.
- Plan and develop I.E.P.s with parents and concerned subject teachers for students.
- Work with students based on the I.E.P Development & Implementation.
- Refer students for formal assessments outside the school in case of requirement.
- Conduct workshops, on request by the school, on topics related to inclusion and education for students with special needs.
- Have parent meetings to discuss the progress and current functioning of the students.
- Discuss the student's progress with the concerned class and subject teachers.
- Coordinate with school counsellor, management, and external specialists when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
Qualifications & Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor/Master's/ B.Ed. degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 yrs of experience in schools (CBSE) level.
Salary as per industry norms.
