We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Facade Designer with strong practical knowledge in facade systems, fixing methods, shop drawings, and site coordination. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently developing façade drawings, understanding installation methodologies, and preparing accurate quantity and area calculations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare façade shop drawings, fabrication drawings, elevations, sections, and installation details
- Understand and develop fixing details for:
- Structural glazing
- Spider glazing
- ACP cladding
- Toughened glass systems
- Aluminium windows & doors
- Louvers and architectural façade elements
- Independently prepare:
- Area calculations
- Material quantity take-offs
- Measurement sheets
- BOQ-related details
- Coordinate with project/site teams to understand execution requirements
- Develop practical and buildable façade solutions based on site conditions
- Ensure drawings are accurate and ready for production/execution
- Visit sites when required for measurements and technical understanding
- Coordinate revisions and resolve drawing-related issues during execution
Requirements
- Experience in facade design mandatory
- Strong knowledge of facade fixing systems and installation methods
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Ability to independently handle façade drawing packages
- Good understanding of aluminium, glass, and cladding materials
- Practical knowledge of site execution and measurements
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
Preferred Qualities
- Experience working on commercial/residential façade projects
- Ability to communicate with fabricators, site engineers, and architects
- Attention to detail and execution-focused mindset
- Knowledge of fabrication and installation processes is a major advantage
