Job Summary
The Store Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the construction store by ensuring proper receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of construction materials, tools, and equipment. The role helps maintain accurate inventory and ensures uninterrupted material availability for project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify materials against Purchase Orders (POs), invoices, and delivery challans.
- Unload, label, stack, and store materials safely as per company standards.
- Issue materials to site teams against approved Material Requisition Slips (MRS).
- Maintain inward and outward registers, stock ledgers, and daily inventory records.
- Update stock details in ERP/Excel/software on a daily basis.
- Assist in periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and report shortages to the Store Officer.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of cement, steel, electrical, plumbing, and finishing materials.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the store.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for pending deliveries and material receipts.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Assist in handling returnable materials, scrap, and surplus inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and inventory procedures.
Qualification
- 12th Pass / Graduate (Preferred)
- Diploma in Material Management or Store Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in construction stores, inventory, or warehouse management.
- Freshers with good computer knowledge may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of construction materials and tools.
- Basic MS Excel and computer proficiency.
- Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Inventory management and stock control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Honest, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Knowledge
- ERP/SAP or inventory management software.
- Material inward/outward process.
- Physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Construction site safety practices.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
