Reward360 (R360) is India’s loyalty commerce infrastructure company, powering the engagement platforms behind some of the country’s largest banks. Behind every transaction is a backend that has to be fast, reliable, and secure at serious scale.
We’re looking for an experienced backend developer who can design and ship production services in Python — using FastAPI, Django, or Flask — and owns their deployment on AWS. You’ll build APIs, model data, and run services that handle real volume in a regulated, high-stakes domain.
This is a senior individual-contributor role. You’ll own services end to end — from design and build through deployment and monitoring — and help raise the bar for the engineering team.
-
Design and build backend services and REST APIs in Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
-
Model data models and write efficient queries against SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
-
Deploy and manage services on AWS — you own how your code runs in production.
-
Build for performance, reliability, and security under real transaction volume.
-
Integrate with third-party systems and internal services through well-designed APIs.
-
Monitor and debug production issues — logging, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
-
Lead architecture and code reviews and mentor more junior engineers.
-
You have 3–5 years building backend systems in Python in production.
-
You’re hands-on with at least one of FastAPI, Django, or Flask — and comfortable across more than one.
-
You have real deployment experience on AWS — you’ve shipped and run services there, not just read about it.
-
You know relational databases well — schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
-
You understand how to design clean, versioned, well-documented APIs that other teams can build on.
-
You’re fluent with Git, CI/CD, and writing tested, maintainable code in a team.
-
experience with Docker, containers, or infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
-
familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, SQS, or API Gateway.
-
exposure to async processing, queues, caching (Redis), or event-driven design.
-
background in fintech, payments, or other high-scale, security-sensitive systems.
