Job Title: Safety Officer
Location: Pune – Aalandi, Pune

Salary: Up to ₹30,000 per month (Based on experience and skills)
Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Safety Officer to oversee workplace health and safety practices within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the plant.
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, Factory Act, and company safety guidelines.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases, and prepare detailed reports.
- Conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and employee safety training sessions.
- Monitor the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate fire safety drills, emergency response activities, and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to ensure safe machine operation and maintenance practices.
- Ensure compliance during machine installation, maintenance, and contractor activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture through awareness programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Certification in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, or NEBOSH (preferred).
- Knowledge of the Factories Act, OSHA principles, and EHS regulations.
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, automation, CNC, or engineering industries.
- Knowledge of emergency response planning and fire safety systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and safety management systems.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to conduct safety audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Proficiency in MS Office for maintaining safety records and reports.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
