Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred), Certification in Quality Management or Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) is an added advantage.
Job Summary
The QA Head is responsible for leading and managing the Quality Assurance function across all manufacturing operations. The role ensures that CNC machines and components meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company quality objectives. The QA Head will establish robust quality systems, lead continuous improvement initiatives, minimize defects, and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.
- Establish quality policies, procedures, SOPs, and inspection standards.
- Monitor and improve product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Process & Product Quality
- Lead incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Ensure product conformity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Monitor machining, assembly, testing, and dispatch quality.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints through preventive actions.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the QA and QC teams.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Conduct technical training and skill development programs.
- Promote a quality-focused culture throughout the organization.
Customer Quality
- Handle customer complaints and warranty issues.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, or similar methodologies.
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate customer audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Supplier Quality
- Evaluate and approve suppliers based on quality performance.
- Conduct supplier audits and monitor supplier quality KPIs.
- Ensure incoming materials comply with quality requirements.
Audit & Compliance
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits.
- Coordinate external certification and customer audits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Maintain complete quality documentation and records.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Poka-Yoke, SPC, and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Analyze quality data and implement process improvements.
- Monitor quality KPIs and prepare management reports.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Proficiency in GD&T, SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, CAPA, and RCA.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments and CMM.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience
- 10–12 years of experience in QA/QC within CNC Machine Manufacturing, Machine Tool, Heavy Engineering, or Precision Engineering industries.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience handling customer audits and supplier quality management.
Authority
- Approve or reject products based on quality standards.
- Stop production in case of major quality deviations.
- Approve quality procedures, inspection plans, and CAPA implementation.
- Lead quality improvement projects across the organization.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
