Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Work lawfully, co-operatively and amicably with all the medical and other nursing staffs.
Ø Responsible for day to day patient care to the allocated patient.
Ø Responsible for Bed Making, Mouth Care, Sponging, Personal Hygiene, Back care/ Skin care of Allocated patient.
Ø Responsible for drug administration (Follow 6R Policy), Checking bed side stock medicines, Feeding (Oral/Ryle’s tube/ Parental).
Ø Proper Maintenance of case sheet.
Ø Responsible for assisting in Doctor’s round, Procedures, Investigation/OT preparation of allocated patient.
Ø Responsible for assisting & helping with all the necessary information of the patient during doctor’s round of the allocated patient.
Ø Responsible for hand over and takeover of inventories and medicines of the allocated patient and ward.
Ø Responsible for helping in elimination of waste and to maintain Hospital Infection Control.
Ø Responsible for providing psychological support to the allocated patient and their relatives. All nursing staff will be wearing black shoe with proper uniform on duty.
Ø You have to join duty before 10 minutes of scheduled time. Handover should be taken post checking inventory, stock medicine, and consumables.
Ø Handover should be carried out in beside with medicine card and hand over register.
Ø Using personal mobile on duty hours is not allowed.
Ø Morning staff on duty will go for lunch only after handing over and evening duty staff will take hand over post lunch. Lunch after hand over is not allowed.
Ø Evening duty staff have to attend weekly classes of Dr. Talapatra, Mr.Koushik Hazra, Microbiologist and any Consultant’s classes. Any non-adherence will be treated as absence from duty.
Ø GDA will take part in sponging, bed making, urine pot and giving bed pan,.
Ø 2 hourly back care have to given for ICCU patient.
Ø Don’t take leave without information of Technician.
Ø If any uncertain problem arises in Department then immediate inform to related technical person.
Ø Register of handover, stock medicine, inventory, pathology, radiology, blood transfusion must have to maintain.
Ø All staff must have to respect to senior, don’t make noise with senior.
Ø Non-functional machines information must be pass on to Technician.
Ø In case of OT’s PAC ( Pre anesthetic checkup ) must be ensured in coordination with Floor Manager.
Ø Ensure all vital statistics checkup properly before writing in the note sheet for example urine out, Blood Pressure etc.
Ø In case of discharge extra medicine should be returned to pharmacy.
Ø Discharge medicine dosages must be discussed with patient party while patient gets discharged.
Ø For outside Diagnostics / Pathology tests floor manager must be informed and proper register to be maintained. Patient file should not accompany with the patient.
Ø To maintain TAT (Turn Around Time) in line with NABH proper register should be maintained in all wards.
Ø In case of emergency RMO must be connected through ward Cell phone and recording must be presented while enquiry.
Ø Dietary restrictions must be maintained in consultation with Dietician.
Ø Blood requisition should be rooted through Doctor. Proper protocol for Blood Transfusion must be followed at every step.
Ø During discharge Inter Venous channel and other external fixation must be removed from patient’s body.
Ø Medicines brand name and expiry date must be precisely checked before giving to the patients.
Ø Responsible for maintaining co-ordination between patient/family and the Doctor.
Ø Responsible for performing in bedside physiotherapy/Breathing Exercise, Heamo Dynamic Monitoring & Recording, Assisting major and minor dressings, Inhalation and nebulization, IV cannulation injection, IV therapy & blood transfusion, ECG.
Ø Responsible for performing in CBS Checking/Suction, Charting/Recording and assessment chart filing, position changing and bedside care of the patient.
Ø Maintain stock of Emergency medicines with other inventories and sterile equipment checking for expiry date.
Ø Responsible for handling and maintaining crash cart trolley with the help of Sister Incharge.
Ø Check the crash cart trolley on the daily basis and also at the time of shift changing.
Ø Supervise Laundry stock.
Ø Cleaning and antiseptic Dressing, Maintaining aseptic technique and hand washing of allocated patient.
Ø Maintaining Admission, Transfer, Discharge, DOR, DORB procedure and patient file.
Ø Maintaining the entire check list & nursing assessment documentation.
Ø Supervising good hygiene of ward and patient’s toilet.
Ø Proper maintaining of humidifier in central oxygen line.
Ø Instrument handling and maintaining (Monitors, Pulse Oxymeter, Syringe Pump, Infusion Pump, ECG machine, Defibrillator, Cardiac Monitor, Ventilator, Pulse generator, Holter monitor, CVP line etc.).
Ø Proper communication of all the sentinel events to the nursing administration.
Ø Participating in service classes regularly arranged by HR Department.
Ø Report to Sister In charge of the unit in related to any nursing care problem during work and must carry out her order to the best of your ability.
Ø Involvement in direct patient care along with admission, discharge, transfer in & out and death protocols.
Ø Bridging gap between patient's party & doctors.
Ø Assisting the MS/Visiting Consultant/Nursing Super/RMO/MO in their rounds.
Ø Supervision of all staff in completing clinical assessment chart of every patient including MOM.
Ø Report any unwanted incident to Sister In Charge/ Nursing Super
Ø Maintaining discipline and awareness of hospital policies & protocols.
Ø Maintaining crash cart protocol.
Ø Maintaining disposal of biomedical waste.
Ø Responsible for helping QC team in collecting data and feedbacks.
Ø Responsible for cleanliness and ventilation of wards, service rooms and sanitary area as well as to the cleanliness of cupboards, floor, utensils etc.
Ø Responsible for all activity sheets and updating sheet for proper billing.
Ø Responsible for diet prescribing/changing /discharge/investigation/reports awaited/pre & post operative procedures/PAC done/pending.
Ø Maintenance of Ward equipments & biomedical equipments & linen.
Ø Communicate with the Sister In Charge / Nursing Super in case of any infringement of misconduct committed by patient or their relatives.
Ø Responsible for maintaining Hospital Infection Control in collaboration with Sister in Charge/ Nursing Super and Infection Control committee.
Ø Exercise particular care in the event of discharge, transfer or death of patient.
Ø Responsible for special care for vulnerable patients.
Ø Responsible for end of life care procedure.
Ø Responsible for maintaining colour codes of patient.
Ø To perform all other duties as and when required for the better service of the hospital assigned by competent authority.
Ø The aforesaid work profile is illustrative in nature not exhaustive.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹58,000.00 per month
