Network Administrator
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Network Administrator to join our IT team. The Network Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the company's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network management, troubleshooting, and supporting IT systems in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Management
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and ensure maximum uptime and stability.
- Configure and manage LAN, WAN, and VPN environments.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose and resolve network issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime.
- Provide technical support for network-related issues to internal staff.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software and hardware updates, backups, and system monitoring.
Security
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security protocols.
- Monitor for potential security threats and take proactive measures to prevent breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and organizational policies.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, equipment inventories, and operating procedures.
- Prepare periodic reports on network performance, utilization, and security incidents.
Collaboration & Training
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement software and hardware solutions.
- Assist in troubleshooting cross-functional technical issues.
- Provide basic training and guidance to end-users on network-related matters.
Upgrades & Installations
- Plan and implement network upgrades to keep systems aligned with current technologies.
- Install, configure, and maintain new network hardware and software.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Hardware & Networking, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in Network Administration or a related IT support role.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing/switching.
- Hands-on experience with network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network infrastructure.
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.

Working Conditions
