Job Summary
The Head of Construction – Civil is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering all civil construction activities across residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, statutory, and contractual requirements while leading site execution teams and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end civil construction activities from project mobilization to handover.
- Develop construction schedules, execution strategies, and resource plans.
- Ensure timely completion of projects as per approved timelines.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress against project milestones.
Site Management
- Supervise Project Managers, Site Engineers, and contractors.
- Ensure efficient deployment of manpower, materials, machinery, and equipment.
- Resolve construction-related issues to avoid project delays.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction standards.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
- Monitor testing of construction materials and workmanship.
- Ensure timely closure of quality observations.
Cost & Budget Control
- Monitor project budgets and construction costs.
- Control wastage and optimize resource utilization.
- Review contractor bills and certify work completed.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Evaluate contractor performance.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely material availability.
- Ensure contractors adhere to contractual obligations.
- Resolve contractor disputes and performance issues.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company HSE policies.
- Conduct safety audits and corrective actions.
- Ensure statutory approvals and regulatory compliance.
- Promote a zero-accident culture across project sites.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare project status reports for management.
- Track project KPIs and construction productivity.
- Present progress reviews, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Maintain project documentation and records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- Master's degree in Construction Management is preferred.
- PMP/Project Management certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 25-30 years of experience in High Rise real estate construction.
- Minimum 20 years in a leadership role.
- Experience handling multiple residential and commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of RCC, finishing works, high-rise construction, and project management.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
