Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production / Sofa Supervisor to oversee daily sofa manufacturing operations, ensure production targets are achieved, maintain quality standards, and manage manpower efficiently. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sofa production, upholstery processes, and team supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day sofa production activities.
- Ensure timely completion of production schedules and delivery commitments.
- Monitor all stages of sofa manufacturing including:
- Wooden frame assembly
- Foam cutting and fitting
- Upholstery and stitching
- Fabric/leather fitting
- Final assembly and finishing
- Allocate manpower and monitor worker productivity.
- Ensure product quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
- Minimize material wastage and optimize resource utilization.
- Maintain proper records of production output and daily reports.
- Coordinate with the Purchase, Stores, and Quality departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and factory discipline.
- Train and guide workers on production techniques and quality requirements.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce rework.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / ITI / Graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in sofa or furniture manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of sofa production processes, upholstery, foam, and wooden frame work.
- Ability to manage production teams and meet deadlines.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality control and production planning will be an added advantage.
